The City of Wellman will have the 2nd Street bridge replaced during the summer of 2008. The City received a grant from the Department of Transportation to assist with this project and after over a year in the planning phase we are ready to begin construction. The estimated completion time for the project is Mid-October of 2008.

2nd Street between 10th Avenue and Fir is expected to be closed from September 17th through Mid-October

Traffic west of the bridge can travel west to Elm and then north to Highway 22; while traffic east of the bridge can travel north on 9th Avenue to Highway 22, west on Highway 22 to Elm, south on Elm to 133rd Street (also called 2nd Street), and then east to Fir.
