Downtown Beautification
The City of Wellman is pleased to announce that it's downtown beautification project is moving forward thanks in part to grants or donations from the following businesses/organizations:
Washington County Riverboat Foundation, $12,744
State of Iowa Keep Iowa Beautiful Program, $5,000
Wellman Area Foundation, $5,000
Wellman Rotary, $1,000
Federation Bank, $1,000
Buckwalter Motors, $1,000
Freeman Foods, $1,000
Hills Bank, $560
These funds will be used toward the purchase of professional benches, trash receptacles, and planters for the downtown business district along with the purchase of a 4-way facing street clock for the downtown area.
