Groundbreaking Ceremony
The City of Wellman and the Wellman Area Foundation are very proud to announce the Ceremonial Groundbreaking Event for the Parkside Activities Center & Sunrise Child Care Facility.
The facility will be a 38,500 square foot, multi-level, multi-purpose building that will have such amenities as child care, an activities room, a 300 person banquet-meeting room, a regulation basketball gym with two practice courts, a health club style fitness facility, an elevated walking/jogging track, and the Mid-Prairie School District will have one of its pre-school classrooms at the Center.
The Ceremonial Groundbreaking occurred on Thursday May 22, 2008 at 6:00 pm at North Park, 525 13th Street.
The Contractor, SG Construction, will have the Center completed by August 2009.
The City of Wellman and the Wellman Area Foundation are very thankful for the many partnerships and generous donations of time, effort, and money that have made the Center a reality.
