The Wellman City Council met in special session at 6:00pm in the Council Chambers of the Wellman Municipal Building for the purpose of interviewing five applicants for the position of Public Works Director. Mayor Ryan Miller presided with the City Administrator, City Clerk, and following Council Members: Robert Goodrich, Marc Pennington, and Matt Latcham; absent: Steve Slaubaugh. Also present was Max Lewis.
Ross briefly reviewed the procedure for the interviews using a list of standardized questions and a scoring form for each Council member to use.
Four applicants were interviewed in person with the fifth being interviewed over the phone. Following the interviews the Council scores for each applicant was tabulated. The Council agreed to contact the top scored applicant, do a background check and contact references. Ross will proceed immediately with that process.
At approximately 9:00pm the meeting was adjourned.
