We had an event filled weekend in Wellman last week and it was a big group of people we need to thank that made it all come together.  First of all we need to thank the Community Club and all of their contributors, especially the corporate sponsors, for providing the funds to buy the fireworks.  Our City employees worked hard throughout the week to get the City in order and Teresa also helped out with the activities on the fourth.  The Wellman Fire Department stepped up again and did a great job with our fireworks.  The Wellman Y provided many activities at the park.  We also need to thank the Mid-Prairie School District for allowing us to use an area of the soccer fields for the tractor pull.

There was a huge number of volunteers that helped out over the weekend with the street dance, the car show, the parade, the tractor pull, and the activities at the park.  We obviously couldn’t have had a weekend like we did without their help.  It takes months of planning to prepare for our celebration and I appreciate all of the hard work that everyone put in to make it a success!
