This Saturday morning is the Senior Dining Center pancake breakfast. They will be serving from 6:30 to 9:00 at the Senior Center. Come out and have a great breakfast and support the Senior Center. With a continual decrease in state funding these events are necessary to help keep the center functioning at the level that it is and providing the great service that they do. They would certainly appreciate your support on Saturday.
On Saturday evening you can also eat out and support the Wellman Elementary. The PTO is holding a spaghetti meal as a fundraiser for their playground. The meal will be provided by the pasta chain Zio Johno’s and they will be serving from 5:00 to 7:30 at the school. Tickets can be purchased at the door for $6.50 and $5.00 (ages 4-11), and carry-outs will be available.
The PTO is also holding their winter carnival Saturday evening. This is a free event for the kids which includes a lot of games and activities and everyone goes home with a lot of prizes. Our local businesses donate most of the prizes for the carnival and the elementary staff and parents put in a lot of time organizing the event and running the games. The kids have a great time and all of the support from the community is greatly appreciated!
Coming up on Tuesday February 8th is the T.T.T. Society Lasagna Supper. This event will be held at the high school cafeteria from 5:00 to 7:30. The cost is $7 for adults and $5 for kids aged 4 to 12. This supper will be prior to the Mid-Prairie vs. Washington basketball game. All proceeds will go towards sending girls to summer camp.
