This Monday morning is the Memorial Day ceremony at the cemetery.  This is always a nice service and a great reminder of the sacrifices that have been made for our country and our community.  I would encourage everyone to attend this service, especially if you haven’t attended before.

After the Memorial Day service the Wellman Heritage Museum will be open until 3 pm.  They have put together a new exhibit of military uniforms and other items that have been donated.  This displays helps to honor our local veterans and all the men and women who have served in the military.

Congratulations go out to the Mid-Prairie boys and girls track teams and their participants in this years state track meet.  Mid-Prairie was well represented and the athletes performed well despite some bad conditions. 

I would also like to congratulate all of the graduating seniors at Mid-Prairie and Iowa Mennonite School.  Having been around many of these seniors I know that they are a very talented group and the community is proud of all that they have achieved.
