Wellman Recreation
Recreational opportunities in and around the City of Wellman are
abundant. From baseball, softball, tennis, basketball, Frisbee golf,
playgrounds, hiking, biking, and picnic areas at North Park; golf at
one of the only sand green golf courses in Iowa; golf at one of many
area golf courses, including the new Rees Jones designed course at
the Riverside Casino and Golf Resort; fishing along the English
River; and boating, fishing, or camping at Lake Darling, the
Coralville Reservoir, or the Belva Deer Recreational area - each
lake within approximately thirty minutes of Wellman.
