Fourth of July

July 4th celebrations have been a tradition in Wellman for many years with people coming from near and far to experience Wellman’s parade, fireworks, and all day events.

The day starts off with a kiddies’ parade at 9:30 am on Main Street followed by the main parade at 10:00. Following the parade various family fun events are held in the community downtown and the North Park. The downtown Heritage museum is open for tours as well as historic buildings at the Heritage Park on 7th Avenue.

Celebration events move to the North Park after the parade to include bingo and miscellaneous children’s carnival games and lots of good food to eat.

Prior to the fireworks bring your lawn chair to North Park and enjoy listening to music from local musicians. Just after dusk expect a fantastic fireworks display.
