The Wellman Golf Course is a privately owned nine-hole sand greens course. There are only two sand green courses in Iowa and visitors are welcome to try this unique golfing experience. Several tournaments are scheduled throughout the season.
The club offers a minimum service club house, three cart sheds, and an honor system for out of town golfers to pay the greens fee. There is a lock box located outside the club house to deposit your fee.

Wellman Golf Course Rules:
Out of respect for the residences that are along the course, please keep the following rules in mind:
- A shirt must be worn at all times.
- Please keep your music at a respectable level.
- Please pay at the money box on the Men’s tee box on hole #1 if you or the players in your group are not members.
- Men’s League is on Tuesday’s at 6 PM beginning the first week of May through the end of August.
- Women’s League is on Wednesday’s at 6 PM beginning the first week of May through the end of August.
- Couple’s League is on alternating Saturdays at 6 PM. The start date is TBA.
One warning will be given if rules are not followed. If the warning is ignored, you may be asked to leave, and greens fees or tournament fees will not be refunded.
